True enough there’s never been an election like this in our country. It’s unbelievable, save for the fact it’s happening right in front of our eyes.
It would be entirely in character for Trump, in a fit of loser spite, to pull the trigger on the kind of white supremacist street violence we saw last night.
I believe the stories, but haven’t any such encounters myself. I’m a large white man who dresses conservatively and keeps his hair cut short, perhaps a less tempting target for MAGAT assholes.
I’ve always believed racism is baked into human nature. I also believe we can, if we choose to, control it.
