Sometimes I wish we had tails, if only so we too could wiggle and writhe during moments of anticipatory bliss.
Twenty-five hundred miles, eleven days, three states … and only one guy tried to kill me. Not bad.
Just back from an 11-day solo motorcycle trip through Arizona, Nevada, and northern California
I leave on another mini-Gypsy tour tomorrow morning, this one a ten-day solo motorcycle ride to Nevada and California.
Mules, local color, wannabes.
What scares me is the thought that when law enforcement agencies have military hardware, firepower, and training, they’ll inevitably cook up reasons to use it.
So far it’s been a thuggish week. The Boston Marathon bombings. The media frenzy and over-reaction that followed. The Senate demonstrating, once again, that it thinks “democracy” is crazy talk. And now the fertilizer plant in West, Texas.
