I wrote this post ten years ago and am moving it back to the top of the blog for Memorial Day.
A note from Polly, left in an empty plastic container by the sink: “Where’s the split pea soup? There was a WHOLE CONTAINER!” Sorry, kiddo, I cooked it and I polished off the leftovers.
How do I know it’s a pilot’s watch? Same way I know a person is a pilot … he (or she) will tell you.
I’m guessing this pilot’s pucker factor was off the charts.
F-15s flew for the active-duty USAF for 51 years, from 1974 to 2025. F-15s were based at Kadena for 46 of those years, from 1979 to 2025. The last flight marked the end of an era.

Our son and daughter are March babies. Gregory turned 59 last week. Polly, bless her, is 50 today. Happy birthday, kids!
