Jalapeño Cornbread

Jalapeño Cornbread

Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup grated cheddar
  • 1 cup grated onions
  • 5 large jalapeños, chopped (or green chiles)
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup corn oil
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (8-1/2 oz) cream style corn

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients. Bake in 9? x 13? pan for 15-20 minutes. Serve with Chili con Carne, or all by itself.
