I’ve started posting wristwatch videos on YouTube and TikTok. Lots of watch collectors and enthusiasts are doing it, so why not me? To date I’ve posted three:
- Watch Show & Tell by Paul: Yankee Air Pirate Watches
- Watch Show & Tell by Paul: Talkin’ About Timex
- Watch Show & Tell by Paul: I”m Being Followed by a Moon Phaser
Those link to my YouTube channel; you can also find them on my TikTok channel.
It’s early days and my product is amateurish. I use a desktop tripod and GoPro camera, sometimes just a handheld iPhone. Most homemade videos I see online are far more professional … I could aspire to get there myself, but maybe it’s better not to sweat it. It’s supposed to be fun, right? And so far that’s what I’m having.
My goal, as with my Air-Minded aviation posts, is to explain and entertain. I hope you’ll like what I’ve done so far and come back for more.
Two weeks ago we took Lulu, one of our two dachshunds, to the vet for dental work. Today it’s Fritzi’s turn. Lulu’s crying, as she always does when Fritzi isn’t around. When we were younger, we never thought about our pets’ teeth, and I bet most families with dogs and cats don’t either. We learned with our first dachshund, Schatzi, that they get cavities just like we do, but hide their pain from us and suffer in silence (well, not Mister B … he’d let us know when he was hurting). If I ever embrace religion, it’ll be in the hope that the pets we’ve loved, now gone, are in a happier place.
