Well, it does, doesn’t it? We drove to Las Vegas to spend Thanksgiving and the weekend with our son, daughter in law, granddaughter, and grandson. To make the family gathering complete, our daughter Polly came with us. We got in Wednesday evening and headed home Monday, sans Polly, who stayed behind in Las Vegas to look for a new job (cross your fingers, everyone). Of course Schatzi came along too.
Polly’s staying at her brother’s house while she’s there. Schatzi stayed there too, sharing lots and lots of Buc’s food (I’m surprised she wanted to go home with us yesterday, since according to Donna I starve her). Donna and I stayed at the Tahiti Village on the south end of The Strip, a ten-minute drive from Gregory & Beth’s house.
Beth cooked a lovely Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. I smoked a beef brisket Saturday, with Gregory backing me up on the corn and beans. Saturday the girls went shopping while Gregory and I rode motorcycles (more on that in a separate post), so Saturday night was pizza night. Sunday (after more shopping and riding) we had pasta with our family Italian meat sauce (made by Beth). And here Donna and Schatzi and I are, home again in Tucson, winding down. I have no idea what’s for dinner tonight!
Some family photoblogging:
The weather was great, the food was great, having all our family together again … well, that was the best thing of all!
