Punishment: It’s What’s for the Rest of Us

The other day I blogged about an unpleasant encounter with an enraged, bicycle-hating motorist.  That very night, I learned about the Morgan Stanley money manager who ran over a bicyclist and then fled the scene, leaving his victim for dead.  You know, the Morgan Stanley money manager the local district attorney decided not to prosecute for felony hit-and-run.  Because he’s rich.  Yeah, that guy.

I guess I’m lucky.  My antagonist might have been a rich guy, in which case he could have run me down and gotten clean away with it.  Such is life in the American class system.
