I made another YouTube video.

I like to wear a different wristwatch every day. With a collection that numbers over 30 watches, that’s easy to do, but I have a hard time remembering which ones I wore when. Happily WatchCrunch, an online forum for enthusiasts and collectors, has a daily wear log to help me keep track. I’ve been a member for two years now, logging which watches I wear from day to day, and over time I’ve noticed that certain watches get more wrist time than others. My latest video focuses on the five I wear most often.

When I started tracking daily wear, I had fewer than 10 watches. Now I have 34. Some of the newer ones are going to get a lot of wear, but haven’t been around long enough to nudge my old favorites off the most-worn list. Next year my top five will include some of them. In two years, who knows? I’m waiting on the delivery of a 35th watch, one I’m pretty excited about, and some day it’ll make the list too. Oh, did I mention the new video is also on TikTok? Here’s the link.

Our son Gregory had business in Phoenix last week. He delayed his flight home to Las Vegas so he could rent a car, drive down to Tucson, and spend a day with us. It’s always a special occasion when we have our two children together again. Here we are: Polly, mom & dad (with our doggies Lulu & Fritzi), and Gregory. I swear, if he took any more after me we’d be twins.

In honor of the visit Donna ran to Costco for ingredients and I made a crab, shrimp, and sausage boil. We might have gotten carried away the quantities … there wasn’t a pot in the house big enough to hold it all and I had to cook it in stages.

Lots of news lately, most of it bad. Didn’t August used to the the slow month?

Stay fresh, cheese bags!
