I don’t know which blogger started this tradition, but I see it everywhere: cat blogging. So here are ours, enjoying a quiet Saturday morning at home.
Chewy is short for Chewbacca. She was a pound cat, originally feral – we took her in when she was about six months old. She’s never really settled into domesticity. Surprisingly, she’s an indifferent mouser.
Max is our Cornish Rex, a hairless breed. As you can see, “hairless” is a misnomer. He has plenty of hair, although it’s fine and very short. And what hair he has must not provide much warmth, because he sleeps under the covers with us every night.
Oh, and do they love each other? Most assuredly not!

I had to spend Saturday in driver’s school to clear a speeding ticket (which was much overdue and certainly warranted). Interestingly, the subject of cats came up. Seems like most states consider cats wild animals and as such, a driver is under no obligation to report running over one. However, a dog is considered personal property and a driver should try to notify the owner if he’s just squashed Fido.
