Down But Not Out

No one wants to read the squalid details of another’s illness, so I’ll spare you that.  I’ll merely report that I picked up a stomach bug two nights ago, and the details were squalid indeed.  Although the worst of it has passed, the blahs persist.  What’s worse, I passed it on to poor Donna, who is still in the worst-of-it phase, and naturally we have company coming tomorrow.  Neither of us has the get-up-and-go necessary to clean the house, though I suppose we’ll have to manage somehow.

Still, the end is in sight for me, and I’m beginning to remember what it’s like to feel normal.  Of course that’s the last thing you can remember when you’re sick — you feel as if you’ve been sick since the day you were born and will remain so unto the day you die.

Gaah!  Enough of that!

My sisters and I are all on Facebook, where we were notified yesterday that Barack Obama had confirmed us as cousins on his family tree.  I’m delighted to report that one of my sisters failed to note the date and fell for it!
