Every time Donna and I visit our son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren in Las Vegas, I promise myself I’m going to write a blog entry about Las Vegas as a place to live. People have odd ideas about the place, but I think if they could see the neighborhoods where residents live, they’d realize what a great family town it is. Lovely homes, safe streets, plenty of parks and sports fields for the kids, churches, young hard-working mommies and daddies raising children and trying to get ahead.
But then I go to the corner supermarket or gas station, and inevitably, any time of day, any day of the week, just inside the door is a room or alcove full of cigarette-smoking zombies blowing the rent money on slots and video poker. Okay, it’s Las Vegas. A good place to live and raise a family (unless you’re Amish).
So here are some Las Vegas family pix:
Now, doesn’t that make you want to live there?
