Our daughter moved back to Las Vegas last weekend, so now both our children (and our grandchildren) live there. Donna’s birthday is a month from now, so we’ll use that excuse to drive up for a long weekend to see how the kids are doing.
I’m trying to get tickets to Bette Midler’s show at Caesar’s Palace . . . we usually stay away from The Strip when we’re in town, but what the hell, it’s Donna’s birthday, and from all I hear it’s a killer show.
They say your kids are never really gone until they finally take their stuff out of your house. The rafters of our garage are packed with Polly’s stuff, and I hope we can at least take some of it up to her.
If the kids are still in Las Vegas in about ten years, we’ll probably move back ourselves. If there’s still water in Lake Mead, that is.
