When I woke up this morning everything outside was so pretty I grabbed my camera and almost walked out the door naked. Something about the light at 6:30 AM says “take the photo now or forget it.” Click on the thumbnails to enlarge:
In the photos, taken outside our front door and in the back yard, are Donna’s orange and yellow birds of paradise, some miniature oleanders, the aloe spike I blogged about a few months ago, a barrel cactus in bloom, and a closeup of the little flowers on our Texas ranger.
After taking these photos I filled the bird feeder and sprinkled some extra seed on the ground. Five minutes later, as I watched through my window, the quail descended upon the seed. They must have been watching from the neighbor’s yard.
What a great morning!
