Vacationette Photoblogging

Recession life — you take three days off, throw in the weekend, and there’s your mini-vacation — it’s all many of us can afford these days.  Thank God for weekends, and while we’re at it thank God for the labor movement of the early 20th Century, because if it weren’t for unions we’d all still be working six- and even seven-day weeks.

Thursday, Donna and I drove up to Flagstaff, trailering the motorcycle behind us.  We spent Friday riding the Goldwing around northern Arizona, mainly along the south rim of the Grand Canyon.  That night we joined up with Shirley and Sandi, who drove in from California.  Shirley is Donna’s Dad’s former wife, and Sandi is her daughter from a previous marriage.  Saturday we all drove down the mountain to Sedona, where we spent the weekend admiring the scenery.

I just upgraded to a new version of WordPress, one that promises to manage photos in a better way.  Let’s see how it does with some shots from our long weekend, shall we?
