The original recipe called for mixing chopped prosciutto in with the ricotta\/spinach mixture, but since Ditalini uses Italian meat sauce rather than meatless marinara sauce, she skips the prosciutto.<\/p>\n<p>We usually have a few containers of Italian meat sauce in the freezer, so we don&#8217;t need to make a fresh pot for recipes like this.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hrecipe h-recipe jetpack-recipe\" itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/Recipe\"><h3 class=\"p-name jetpack-recipe-title fn\" itemprop=\"name\">Ditalini&#039;s Lasagne Rolls<\/h3><ul class=\"jetpack-recipe-meta\"><li class=\"jetpack-recipe-servings p-yield yield\" itemprop=\"recipeYield\"><strong>Servings: <\/strong>4<\/li><li class=\"jetpack-recipe-time\">\n\t\t\t\t<time itemprop=\"totalTime\" datetime=\"1 hr\"><strong>Time:<\/strong> <span class=\"time\">1 hr<\/span><\/time>\n\t\t\t<\/li><li class=\"jetpack-recipe-difficulty\"><strong>Difficulty: <\/strong>medium<\/li><li class=\"jetpack-recipe-print\"><a href=\"#\">Print<\/a><\/li><\/ul><div class=\"jetpack-recipe-content\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bechamel Sauce<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 tbsp butter<\/li>\n<li>4 tsp flour<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/4 cups whole milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/8 tsp pepper<\/li>\n<li>pinch ground nutmeg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lasagne<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ricotta cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed &amp; drained<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>1 cup grated Parmesan cheese<\/li>\n<li>salt &amp; pepper to taste<\/li>\n<li>12 lasagna noodles<\/li>\n<li>2 cups <a href=\"http:\/\/pwoodford.net\/cookblog\/?p=9\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian meat sauce<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sauce:<\/p>\n<p>Melt butter in saucepan over low heat, add flour, whisk.&nbsp; Add milk, whisk.&nbsp; Increase heat to medium, continue whisking sauce until it thickens, then whisk in salt, pepper, and nutmeg.&nbsp; Whew, enough whisking already!<\/p>\n<p>Lasagne:<\/p>\n<p>Brush the inside of a baking dish with butter or olive oil.&nbsp; Pour the bechamel sauce into the bottom of the dish.<\/p>\n<p>Make a mixture of the ricotta, spinach, Parmesan, egg, salt &amp; pepper.&nbsp; Boil noodles until <em>al dente<\/em>; drain.<\/p>\n<p>Spread ricotta\/spinach mixture on noodles.&nbsp; Roll each noodle, then place in baking dish, seam side down.&nbsp; Space them out so that they don&#8217;t quite touch each other.&nbsp; Spoon meat sauce over the rolls, then cover with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.<\/p>\n<p>Cover with foil and bake in preheated 450\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes, until sauce bubbles.&nbsp;
