Occasionally readers ask me about the names on this blog.\u00a0 Crouton.\u00a0 Ditalini.\u00a0 Escargot.\u00a0 A bit of explanation is in order.<\/p>\n

When I started this blog I decided to use a nom de plume<\/em>.\u00a0 My wife, who contributes many of the recipes here and inspires almost everything I come up with on my own, got one too.\u00a0 I’m Crouton, she’s Ditalini.\u00a0 Pretty soon our kids, who help with the cooking when they visit, needed names too.\u00a0 And our grandkids.\u00a0 And our dog.\u00a0 And the friends who visit our table and appear on the blog. In Crouton’s Kitchen, everyone has a name.<\/p>\n

Why?\u00a0 Why not?<\/p>\n

So now there’s a list of family and friends<\/a> for you to consult.\u00a0 There’s a link at the top of the page, under About; there’s another link on the right sidebar under my photo.<\/p>\n
