Bush and his sycophants.<\/p>\n<p>Well.\u00a0 It appears\u00a0Bush is getting ready to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/2008\/03\/05\/fallon-bush-fire\/\">replace Admiral Fallon with a more pliable commander<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Admiral Fallon, from what I understand, has been a less than enthusiastic supporter of our continued occupation of Iraq, since it ties up U.S. military forces that may\u00a0at any moment be needed in other parts of the Middle East theater.\u00a0 Well, no big deal, I guess.\u00a0 If we&#8217;re all tied up in Iraq (and maybe Iran too) and something bad breaks elsewhere in the region (like, say, Pakistan?), we always have our nukuler arsenal, right?<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\"><em>Update (3\/11\/08):<\/em><\/font> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/03\/12\/washington\/12military.html?ref=world\">He&#8217;s gone<\/a> . .\u00a0. just like that!\u00a0 Oh, by the way . . . 314 days left.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You know, I always thought it\u00a0odd that the Bush administration would tolerate a non-political independent-thinking military leader like Admiral Fallon, commander of U.S. Central Command.\u00a0 It&#8217;s so uncharacteristic of the &#8220;surround me with yes men&#8221; mentality of George W.
