I predicted it would be a lost weekend<\/a>, and so it was.\u00a0 I rode in a competitive event yesterday\u00a0. . . although, to be sure, in a less than\u00a0competitive manner\u00a0. . .\u00a0then rode again this morning, just for fun, with some hashing<\/a> friends.\u00a0 Sore and tired?\u00a0 You bet.\u00a0 But it’s a good<\/em> sore and tired!<\/p>\n

About 30 miles into the 35-mile section of yesterday’s El Tour de Tucson<\/a>, a policeman held up his hand for me to stop.\u00a0 I had time to get my feet out of the pedal clips, but for some reason couldn’t get my left foot out.\u00a0 Boom.<\/p>\n

Otherwise it was a great ride.\u00a0 Next year our whole riding gang promises to do it.\u00a0 By then I ought to be more proficient at getting in and out of\u00a0pedal clips.<\/p>\n

Anyway, it wasn’t a bad spill.\u00a0 The bad spill happened today, just a couple of hours ago, on the bicycle hash<\/a>.\u00a0 And it happened to someone else, not me.\u00a0 I’m blogging about it over at the Half-Mind Weblog<\/a>.\u00a0 In other words, this entry’s\u00a0a plug for my other blog.\u00a0 Pretty sneaky, huh?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
