Some time ago, on my other blog<\/a>, I expounded on “internet” versus “Internet.”\u00a0 This<\/a>\u00a0is what I said:<\/p>\n

Yeah, I know we’re supposed to capitalize “internet.” Some people even capitalize “web.” I won’t do it. Is internet capitalized because it’s relatively new? What about telegraph, telephone, and television? Did they capitalize those words when they were new? In 20 or 30 years, will anybody capitalize internet? I doubt it. Trend setter? That’s me!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now the Johnny-Come-Latelys at Wired have jumped on the bandwagon<\/a>.\u00a0 Can The New Yorker be far behind?<\/p>\n
