{"id":259,"date":"2007-08-12T22:04:24","date_gmt":"2007-08-13T05:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pwoodford.net\/blog\/?p=259"},"modified":"2007-08-12T22:05:55","modified_gmt":"2007-08-13T05:05:55","slug":"big-brother-is-slipping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pwoodford.net\/blog\/?p=259","title":{"rendered":"Big Brother is Slipping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Everybody&#8217;s seen <em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0064276\/\">Easy Rider<\/a><\/em>, right?<\/p>\n<p>So Donna and I were flipping through channels the other night, and we caught the last half hour of Easy Rider on American Movie Classics.\u00a0 Something struck me as really odd, and I&#8217;m wondering if anyone else saw the same thing.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s\u00a0Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and the two prostitutes in the New Orleans cemetary, tripping on acid, and one of the prostitutes is naked, standing between two above-ground crypts, when &#8211; just briefly &#8211; she faces the camera.\u00a0 I expected that scene to be cut, but it wasn&#8217;t.\u00a0 The girl&#8217;s\u00a0naked, pubic hair and all.\u00a0 On AMC.<\/p>\n<p>Then, a few minutes later, as Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper are riding through bayou country,\u00a0two\u00a0rednecks in a pickup truck pass them, and one of the rednecks yells at Dennis Hopper to get a haircut, and Dennis Hopper flips him off.\u00a0 Remember that scene?<\/p>\n<p>AMC fuzzed out Dennis Hopper&#8217;s hand so you couldn&#8217;t see him flipping the bird!<\/p>\n<p>WTFO?\u00a0 AMC airs a full frontal nude shot of a woman and censors Dennis Hopper&#8217;s finger?<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t understand what&#8217;s up with that.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t understand at all.\u00a0 Someone please tell me I didn&#8217;t just imagine it, okay?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everybody&#8217;s seen Easy Rider, right?
