So here are ours, enjoying a quiet Saturday morning at home.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_851\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-851\" style=\"width: 358px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-851\" title=\"chewy\" src=\"http:\/\/pwoodford.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/chewy.gif\" alt=\"Chewbacca\" width=\"358\" height=\"336\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-851\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chewbacca<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p>Chewy is short for Chewbacca. She was a pound cat, originally feral &#8211; we took her in when she was about six months old. She&#8217;s never really settled into domesticity. Surprisingly, she&#8217;s an indifferent mouser.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_853\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-853\" style=\"width: 358px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-853\" title=\"max\" src=\"http:\/\/pwoodford.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/max.gif\" alt=\"Max\" width=\"358\" height=\"506\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-853\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Max<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p>Max is our Cornish Rex, a hairless breed. As you can see, &#8220;hairless&#8221; is a misnomer. He has plenty of hair, although it&#8217;s fine and very short. And what hair he has must not provide much warmth, because he sleeps under the covers with us every night.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and do they love each other?
