Neiman-Marcus Cookies


  • 2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 4 c. flour
  • 5 c. oatmeal, blended
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 2 t. baking soda
  • 4 oz. chocolate chips, about 2/3 c.
  • 1 8-oz. Hershey bar, grated (freeze before grating)
  • 3 c. chopped nuts


Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 6 minutes at 375 degrees F. Makes 112 cookies. Recipe may be halved.
