Peanut Butter Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine, room temp
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cup vanilla wafer crumbs (about 45 wafers)
  • 1 box confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 bottle pale ale (I used Sierra Nevada)
  • 1 bag chocolate chips (I think 12 oz. package)
  • 1/2 cup cream

Directions

Sip beer. Combine margarine and peanut butter. Add crumbs and sugar. Press into 13 x 9″ pan (I put waxed paper in first). Sip beer. Mix chocolate chips and cream over low heat, stir constantly, just until melted, and spread it on top of the peanut butter mixture. Chill for 1 1/2 hours before cutting. Finish beer. (Ed note: creatively layer bars in large chili pot. Sip more beer for more interesting design).
