Well, that sucked! The good folks at WordPress upgraded their weblog software and I was foolish enough to trust them. Now I have hundreds of entries with unwanted typographical characters in them, like this:
I can’t tell you the whole story of yesterday’s hash because I only did the turkey trail. From what I observed, the hares set two separate trails, eagle and turkey. The hares who set the eagle trail claimed dibs on the dry riverbed, the only shiggy in that part of Tucson, leaving little for the turkey hares to work with.
Two letters to the WordPress support forum, but so far no answers or suggestions. Looks like I’m going to have to hand-edit every entry, all the way back to January 2004.
The front page is done, which is all most people look at, but if you get into the archives or hashing resources sections, you’re going to see a lot of Âs. Maybe even some ’s and “s.
It’ll take weeks to delete all those unwanted characters. Please accept my apologies in the meantime. Next time they tell me to upgrade, I’ll stay on true trail!
