Pedalfiles Bash Trash: 7/18/10
A small pack assembled at Casa Booger for a promised short trail on one of the hottest days of the year: Deep Dish, Zorro, Citizen 69, no name Dee, Pick’n'Flick, and Wet Toe Job. Flying Booger laid trail through the neighborhoods adjacent to Catalina Highway, even managing to throw in some shiggy and an eagle/turkey split that allowed those with mountain bikes to ride on some actual dirt (sorry, no mountain).
Wet Toe Job set up a beer check under a shady ramada in McDonald Park, where the pack enjoyed a cool break in the middle of Booger’s 10-mile trail. First in was Deep Dish, who took the eagle split. Thirty minutes later, Deep Dish was once again first at the on-in, Casa Booger. Two years after suffering the worst face-plant in Pedalfiles history, Deep Dish has bounced right back.
We held a short poolside circle, followed by some grilling, eating, talking, and swimming. All in all a great morning, spoiled only slightly by a shitty bicycle ride.
- Flying Booger thinks you’d look sweet on the seat of a bicycle built for two!
