Good for you! Our former Beermeister did not drink, but he picked up the beer & distributed the beer with exhuberance. I may have one beer during the whole event - afterwards - in circle. I make no comment on others who do otherwise. Our group uses ice chairs where folks sit with nekkid butts in circle rather than try to get folks drunk. We also have a designated driver to take anyone home who needs a ride, or they can even crash with a hasher who is local. We advertise crash space for those out of towners who attend our bigger events. Not one of us wants anyone to drive home drunk so we try very hard to see to it that for those who drink... they are taken care of... for me hashing is about the fun of the run, getting dirty, following a kewl trail...and making friends. Oh, and Brevard County, Florida, has one of the rare women only hashes... we love it! :)
