Dearth Begone

The blogging dearth (see my previous entry) won’t be as bad as I feared.  My dad has a computer with a dial-up connection. A little slow, but way better than no connection at all.

We’re in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hunkered down at my folks’ house, cooking dinner for the crowd of family who will descend on us tonight.  Sauce, pasta, garlic bread – that’s what you cook when you’re cooking for a hoard.

It’s cold.  There was an ice storm in Saint Louis yesterday, but it didn’t reach this far south.  Still, it’s hovering right around freezing, and we’re not used to that sort of weather.

We’re having a great visit.  More soon!
