The neighborhood 4th of July parade:
And after the parade, everyone in the neighborhood came to our house for brunch. I was too overwhelmed to take photos, but the party was a great success. Later in the afternoon the kids went to see Spiderman, and Donna and I took a short nap. Friends who live higher up the side of the mountain invited us all over tonight for a fireworks-viewing party, but since the kids are driving home to Las Vegas tomorrow morning … and since we’re all still de-stressing from hosting the neighborhood party … we’re going to have a quiet evening at home. I’m roasting two chickens on the rotisserie, and Greg is in charge of baked beans and corn on the cob. USA! USA! USA!
